SOCIAL INTEGRATION IN THE CONTEXT OF INCREASING TURBULENCE OF ETHNOSOCIAL PROCESSES

Abstract

Elements of spontaneity,unpredictability, and uncertainty associated with the correlative, variable nature of cause-and-effect relationships are largely present in ethno-social processes. The turbulence of ethno-social processes, which is growing under the influence of internal and external factors, has fully manifested itself in a number of significant socio-political events that have recently taken place in Kazakhstan. These events had a strong direct and indirect impact on the processes of social integration. At the same time, it is impossible to absolutize the stochasticity of the processes of self-organization of the ethno-social sphere. There are a number of political and social institutions that in any situation have a significant impact on these processes and through them – on the course of social integration. Media is one of these institutions. Kazakhstan's print and, in particular, electronic media are an effective tool for influencing various socio-political forces on the sphere of interethnic interactions and on the dynamics of social integration/disintegration.
