Abstract. As part ofthe convergence, the national legal systems ofa number ofstates that
emerged inthe early 90s ofthe twentieth century acquired features characteristic ofthe Roma-
no-German legal family, and therefore the fundamental principles oflaw that are implemented
within the development models ofthese countries have acquired a qualitatively new nature, re-
ecting the fundamental transformations ofthe state-political structure. e purpose ofthe study
is to consider the features ofthe national legal systems ofthe post-Soviet countries, formed under
the in uence ofintegration processes ofa legal nature that occurred on the territory ofthe former

republics ofthe USSR. e objectives ofthe study are to study the main trends ofa state-legal
nature, to identify the in uence ofinternational law norms on the legislation of new subjects
ofinternational relations, as well as to establish the in uence ofthe integration ofseveral states
into various interstate associations on national legal systems. Formal-legal, analytical, and histor-
ical-legal research methods are used to achieve the results. e study found that the national legal
systems ofthe states that were previously part ofthe USSR are organically oriented towards regu-
latory requirements implemented within the framework ofinternational organizations ofwhich
they are members, which leads to a certain uni cation ofthe regulation ofpublic relations, which
does not exclude the preservation ofnational legal traditions. e process ofconvergence ofthe
legal systems ofindividual post-Soviet countries is slow, uneven, not always progressive, but nev-
ertheless lays the foundations for joint activities on several issues that go beyond the jurisdiction
ofa particular State or require joint e orts for e ective solutions.
