Abstract. During theCOVID-19 pandemic, protest sentiments have intensi ed insociety to-
wards vaccination ofchildren, especially against COVID-19, which was inline with studies indif-
ferent countries ofthe world. epurpose ofthe work was to assess public opinion inrelation
to vaccinating children using theexample ofthe Republic ofBashkortostan based on theresults
ofasociological survey conducted inFebruary 2022 andtheir comparative analysis with similar
studies inother regions ofRussia andcountries ofthe world. It has been revealed that inRussia
andBashkortostan, inparticular, con dence inchildren’s vaccines against COVID-19 is less than
ina number ofother countries, which in uenced thelower rate ofvaccination ofchildren against
COVID-19 during thepandemic a er theapproval ofthese vaccines based on theresults ofclin-
ical trials. 38% ofparents surveyed inBashkortostan in2022 considered vaccination ofchildren
against COVID-19 necessary, but only 13% would agree to it, 68% would refuse it for their chil-
dren. eseverity ofparents’ reactions revealed during thesurvey contributed to therelaxation
ofvaccination requirements for adolescents aged 12-17 years inthe region.
