Abstract. epurpose ofthis work is to identify thequality ofwork ofrecreation andrecre-
ation organizations for children based on asociological assessment ofparental feedback. ear-
ticle analyzes thekey indicators ofthe quality ofchildren’s recreation andrecreation, including
thequality ofthe material andtechnical base ofinstitutions, thesystem ofensuring thesafety
ofchildren, thequality ofnutrition andmedical care, andothers. eregulatory andlegal bases
for theorganization ofchildren’s recreation andrecreation andthekey features ofits organization

inthe regions ofthe Russian Federation were highlighted. To identify key trends, theresults ofrep-
resentative studies conducted by major sociological centers such asVTSIOM, NAFI andothers
were used. ework is also based on theresults obtained by theauthors during asociological
study ofthe organization ofrecreation andrecreation for children, an assessment ofthe quali-
ty andsatisfaction with children’s recreation, conducted on thebasis ofthe Russian State Social
University inthe fall of2023. eparticipants were selected according to thefollowing criteria:
residence inthe territory ofthe Russian Federation, thepresence ofchildren/grandchildren aged 7
to 18 years. emost popular formats ofchildren’s recreation andrecreation, key indicators ofthe
quality ofrecreational activities for children on vacation were analyzed. According to theresults
ofthe study, common methods ofworking with children inRussian organizations ofchildren’s
recreation andrecreation were identi ed. escienti c novelty ofthe research lies inthe identi -
cation andmeasurement ofkey indicators ofthe quality ofchild
