Abstract

The main goal of teachers in the field of education is to increase the level of education of the younger generation, to form a comprehensively developed personality. One of the most important issues of the education system in developed countries is the informatization of education, that is, the creation of an information space in the process of education. Currently, multimedia technologies are one of the most promising areas of informatization of the educational process. The only effective way to successfully use modern information technologies in the field of education is to increase the program and methodological support, replenishment of the material base, as well as professional development of teachers. The article discusses the main issues of the development and use of information technology tools, including multimedia technologies, to improve the quality of education. Special attention is paid to the organization of the use of multimedia presentations and their effectiveness in the educational process, the effectiveness and expected results of the use of multimedia technologies in the geography lesson are described.
