Cultural identity in the era of globalization: theoretical and survey analysis

Abstract

The article examines the relationship between globalization and culture in relation to the use of new online media. It is shown that a wellfounded concept of cultural identity is necessary in order to describe these relations in specific terms and to subject them to a differentiated analysis. The concept of cultural identity is outlined, which will allow us to study this connection and identify its practice-oriented meaning. It is noted that cultural identity has various manifestations, including in connection with mass/social communication. A theoretical and philosophical analysis of cultural identity in the era of globalization is given, but at the same time an approach is substantiated, according to which globalization contributes to the formation of a multicultural world and at the same time complicates the conditions for the emergence and consolidation of cultural identity.
