Abstract

The botanical family Ranunculaceae includes important medicinal plants. To obtain new evolutionaryevidence regarding the systematic classification of plants of the studied family, we used molecular biology data, as wellas data from past studies. This article presents the results of phylogenetic analysis of three genera of Ranunculaceae, thesystematic position of which has always been controversial and debatable: Coptis, Glaucidium, Hydrastis. The results ofthe analysis not only supported the monophyly of each of these genera, but also indicated a number of additional points, which in turn confirms the data of our studies.
