Shrubby cinquefoils (Potentilla L. sect. Fruticosae Doell, Rosaceae Juss.): morphology, geography and history of the group development

Abstract
Shrubby taxa of the tribe Potentilleae from the relationship «Fruticosae» are considered here as part of the genus Potentilla. Morphological characters, ecological-cenotic confinement, the area of distribution of the representatives of the group, as well as the history of its development and phylogeny are discussed. Data on ploidy and chromosomal numbers are briefly presented.
