Аннотация

The onthogenesis o f H. liiioasphodelus L. and H. middendorffii Trautv. Et Mey. were studied. Their latent, pregenerative, and generative periods were examined. The age stages were described in detail. In conditions of introduction during the first year young plants pass through the three age conditions of the shoot, the juvenile plant, and the immature plant. Day lilies enter their virgin period by the end of the second year. At the third or forth year of development the Hemerocallis lilies enter their generative period, which lasts for more than 30 years. The growth o f the leading shoot is monopodial, with its apical meristem remaining vegetative throughout all periods of ontogenesis. All the generative shoots are always lateral.
