УДК 331.5
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the state and problems of employment of graduates. The author conducted a review and comparative analysis of statistical data and materials of selective studies on this issue. Unfavorable trends in the employment of young specialists have been identified, the main of which are rising unemployment, job performance that does not match the level and profile of professional training. The main reasons for this phenomenon are identified: labor market variability, inefficient career guidance system, lack of effective interaction and coordination of needs for specialists between educational institutions and employers, deformations in wage levels. As recommendations, it was proposed to develop a system for monitoring and forecasting the employment of graduates, to improve mechanisms for matching the needs of the economy in personnel with the scope and areas of professional training at universities, and to expand student participation in continuing education programs.
