SOME ASPECTS OF ENSURING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRARIAN SECTOR OF THE ECONOMY

Abstract
In modern conditions, ensuring sustainable development of agriculture plays a key role in socio-economic development and food security of Russia. Sanctions and restrictions of unfriendly countries create unfavorable challenges for the agro-food complex. The article is devoted to the analysis of the current state of the agrarian sector of the economy, the impact of sanctions on its sustainable development, on the export of products of the Russian agro-industrial complex and the definition of the main directions of further development, providing for the achievement of food security of the country. It considers the prerequisites and conditions that determine the prospects of development of agrarian business entities and food provision of the population, provides the results of the analysis of the current state of production and the level of self-sufficiency of the population in food products, identifies systemic problems that hinder the sustainable development of the agrarian sector, reveals the negative effects of sanctions pressure, limiting the export of various types of food and hindering trade operations, proposes a set of measures.
