MECHANISM OF SELECTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROACTIVE METHODS OF LABOR PROTECTION MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Conscious safety behavior is central to the health and safety culture of any organization. Such behavior is formed with the help of modern management tools — proactive methods of occupational safety management. In this regard, the article identifies current problems in the field of occupational safety and health, as well as considers the basis of proactive approach to occupational safety and health management established in foreign countries. On the basis of long-term study of modern foreign and domestic best practices of occupational safety management, the author has grouped management methods, formulated a description of the proposed groups and provided practical examples of proactive methods included in them. As a result of empirical research, a mechanism for selecting proactive management methods depending on the goal is presented in the form of an algorithm, the application of which is disclosed on the example of two practical situations. To further implement the selected proactive method, a clear algorithm for its implementation and adaptation in the organization's occupational health and safety management system is proposed.
