HOW TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT NATIONAL AND CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS IN THE MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

Abstract

The article considers the possibilities of people’s participation in the process of developing and adopting a strategy for the development of the municipality in order to take into account the national and cultural characteristics of the territory. The need for such participation is justified. Examples of municipal norm-setting are given. Practical recommendations for interested persons and organizations are given. The position of the author, which is a firm belief in the need for people’s participation for the development of local self-government, is reflected.
