TOURISM AS A WAY OF HARMONIZING INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN THE BORDER REGIONS RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

At present, the problems of social integration of nations and cultures, harmonization of interethnic relations and ensuring national unity are quite acute in the border regions of the Russian Federation. Tourism can be considered one of the ways to harmonize interethnic relations in the border regions of the Russian Federation. It contributes to the development of the spiritual culture of society, the enrichment of civic culture, the education of tolerance. In modern social conditions, while traveling, people get a rich experience of communication with representatives of different cultures and nations, study the specifics of the mentality of people with different customs and traditions, which contributes to the harmonization of interethnic relations, social integration of nations and cultures.
