THE ATTITUDE OF STUDENTS TO THE IMAGE OF A MODERN TEACHER (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE ALTAI STATE UNIVERSITY)

Abstract

The author of this article examines the attitude of students to the image of a modern teacher in higher education among undergraduate and graduate students of the Altai State University. To achieve this goal, the author identified the following tasks: studying the literature on this topic in various sources; formulating survey questions with possible answers; conducting a survey among undergraduate and graduate students; processing and analyzing the data obtained after the survey; summing up the results of micro-research. The following methods were used in the implementation of the tasks: analysis, generalization, as well as questionnaires. The questionnaire included questions about the age, professional and personal qualities of the teacher with a choice of answers that students could use to determine their views. According to the data obtained during the survey, for most students, the appearance of the teacher corresponds to the age, is neat. The teacher can have his own style, or not have it. The teacher may drink tea or coffee during a lecture or seminar, have consultations available, follow the chain of command, and may not have an affair with the student. He or she knows how to attract a student, has a broad outlook, knows how to find an approach to a student, has a sense of humor, uses methods of encouragement or punishment, has work experience, objectively evaluates and has a competent speech. Also, a modern teacher cannot have a criminal record, bad habits, and he does not use the words parasites in speech.
