Abstract
The article studies forms of young people's awareness about own ethnic (rarely religious) identity. The material was works by students of the Voronezh School of Interethnic Journalism - publications prepared in 2017– 2021. Concluded that young authors are interested in searching for their roots, their belonging to a clan and a certain tradition. Most often, publications of young authors were built as a personal, confessional history. At the same time, they are trying to find a certain social section in the story, to show its typical character. Young authors prefer to present personal journalistic content in a modern multimedia form, thereby increasing interest among the youth audience.
