NAMES OF CLOTHING IN THE KURSK SONG FOLKLORE

Abstract

The article describes the names of clothes in the Kursk song folklore. The basis of the study was lexicographic complexes prepared on the material of the collection «Great Russian Folk Songs». The identified lexemes are systematized by thematic groups and analyzed in relation to their usage and derivational activity. Particular attention is paid to the dialect words characteristic of the Kursk lyric songs, and diminutive forms characteristic of various genres of Russian folklore. The syntagmatic connections of the most frequent words dress and hat are described. The important role of clothing names in the folklore text, where they perform different functions, helping to describe the appearance of lyrical heroes and their emotional state is noted. The conclusion is made about the territorial specificity of the analyzed linguistic material, as evidenced by the lexem dictionary, and the features of their use in Kursk song folklore.
