SOME FEATURES OF THE STUDY OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE POPULATION IN THE ALTAI KRAI

Abstract

The quality of life of the population is the most important criteria for the wellbeing of society. The qualitative living conditions in which the population lives are indicators of the level of social development and the basis for successful self-realization of individuals, which will lead to further improvement of various spheres of public life. The concept of «quality of life» is extremely voluminous and multifaceted. The question about indicators that constitute the «quality of life» is open nowadays, and indicators or components of the indicators, determining the quality of life of the population are frequently complemented. The authors proposed a definition for the «quality of life» based on considered methodological approaches to the concept. A methodology has been developed for the measuring of the quality of life of the population of the Kulundinsky district of the Altai krai from the perspective of objective and subjective indicators. It could be extrapolated to other regions of the Altai krai.
