REPRESENTATIONS OF THE POPULATION OF BORDER REGIONS ABOUT CIVICNESS

Abstract

In the conditions of the modern crisis world, the upbringing of a person is extremely difficult due to various influences on his/her personality. Civicness as one of the main qualities of character is of great importance in all spheres of human life and society. Ideas about civicness are an important part of civic identity, their content correlates with projects implemented in the country, the development of democracy and civil society. The article presents the results of a study conducted by the Altai State University «Civil identity and the image of Russia» (n = 1807). Based on the data obtained during the survey, the level of civicness among the population of border areas was revealed, as well as the relationship with socio-demographic characteristics was determined.
