THE SITUATION OF MIGRANTS IN THE LABOR MARKET IN THE BORDER REGIONS OF RUSSIA

Abstract

The article examines the situation of migrants in the labor market in the border regions of Russia. The following indicators were analyzed: current occupation of migrants, satisfaction with the place of work, change in the field of professional activity, positions after moving to Russia, ways to find work, difficulties that migrants face when moving. The results of the analysis of data obtained in the course of a sociological study in six border regions of Russia (Altai krai, Pskov oblast, Saratov oblast, Novosibirsk oblast, Primorsky krai, and Trans-Baikal krai), a survey of migrants aged 15 to 80 years was conducted. The data obtained during the study were analyzed using the methods of mathematical and statistical data processing (SPSS 23.0 statistical package).
