PARTICULARITIES OF YOUNG PEOPLE'S VIEWS ON THE PROBLEM OF INTER-ETHNIC INTERACTION

Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of young people's views on the problem of interethnic interaction (on the example of the Oryol region). The author pays special attention to the research of young people's attitude to the problems (conflicts) related to their nationality. The article presents the results of the study on overcoming the tension and conflict of interethnic interaction. The research was conducted within the framework of the work of the laboratory of migration and interethnic conflicts of the Educational and Research-Practical Center of Conflict Resolution functioning at the social faculty in I. S. Turgenev Oryol State University. The author of the article focuses on the fact that the causes of inter-ethnic conflicts are religious differences and personal dislike in the relations of people of different nationalities. The main measures that can be used to prevent inter-ethnic conflicts include strengthening educational and upbringing activities at schools and universities aimed at forming interethnic tolerance and introducing the culture and traditions of other peoples
