THE IMAGE OF A CITIZEN IN THE REPRESENTATION OF THE YOUTH OF THE RUSSIAN BORDER REGION

Abstract

Understanding the essence of the term "citizen" has various bases. Within the framework of modern science, one of the main ones is the sociocultural approach to both understanding the essence of “citizen” and understanding civic identity. It allows you to describe the unique characteristics within a particular society with its unique culture and society. "Citizen" is defined not only on the basis of formal characteristics, but also on the basis of a formed civic identity, which has a complex structure. The youth, as the basis of the future of our state, has its own ideas about the essence of a citizen in modern Russia. The author determined that the image of a citizen among young people was based on cognitive, behavioral and emotional components, while young people tend to understand themselves more often as citizens of the world than of any particular country
