THE EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION: THE STRATEGY OF THE DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEW GEO-ECONOMIC REALITY

Abstract

Integration is a significant trend in the development of global society. International economic integration is an objective process of building sustainable economic ties between different countries with the same level of development. According to the World Trade Organization, today there are more than 30 integration associations, one of the most interesting to study is the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Today, the system of international relations is undergoing fundamental transformations of its configuration due to unprecedented geopolitical shifts. The transition is underway from a relatively stable world with one hegemon to a new global political landscape of multipolarity, where not only individual states, but also their strategic associations will play a significant role. This article presents an analysis of the key factors of socio–economic development of both the entire Eurasian Economic Union and its individual member states.
