MIGRANTS' ATTITUDE TO THE CULTURE, CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS OF RUSSIA (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE ALTAI REGION)

Abstract

The article examines the attitude of migrants to the culture and traditions of Russia on the example of the Altai region. Traditional Russian holidays and social events are an important element of the socialization of migrants, as they increase interest in Russian culture, traditions and customs of residents of the Russian Federation. The leading role in the formation of understanding and interest in the culture and life of Russian society is assigned to regional authorities and public organizations that introduce foreigners to Russia through cultural dialogue in the framework of mass events. Examples of successful cultural dialogue and interaction are: the Day of the City of Barnaul, carried out by the administration of the Altai region, the Student Congress of the Peoples of Central Asia – the holiday of the Persian and Turkic peoples "Navruz", organized at AltSU, and the activities of the student association Association of Foreign Students "STORK"
