NATIONAL IDENTITY AND SPIRITUAL AND HISTORICAL HERITAGE IN THE FOREIGN POLICY IDENTIFICATION OF THE CENTRAL ASIA STATES

Abstract

The events in the post-Soviet space at the end of the twentieth century were accompanied by a decrease in the quality of life, social tension, and a crisis of national identity. Before the collapse of the USSR, the national identity of each Central Asian republic was clearly defined and understood by its population. All post-Soviet republics entered the 21st century with their own ideas about the national idea. In this regard, it is necessary to talk not about "revival", but rather about the continuity of nation-building, which is observed in the historical aspect. The peoples of Central Asia are united by a common history and culture, which have had a significant impact on the development of world civilization. All this determines the relevance and choice of the topic for this study, dedicated to the study of national identity and spiritual and historical heritage in the formation of foreign policy identification of the five Central Asian states.
