LANGUAGE PICTURE OF THE WORLD AS ONE OF THE FACTORS OF NATIONAL-CULTURAL SELF-DETERMINATION

Abstract

The article examines the relationship between the national linguistic picture of the world and the formation of ethnocultural identity. The emphasis is on determining the mechanisms of mutual influence between culture and language, identifying the foundations of ethnocultural identity and the influence of language on the architectonics of national images of the world. Based on the study of the linguistic picture of the world, it is possible to recreate a whole gallery of linguistic concepts - figurative words and stable combinations that reflect "axial" national and cultural values that perform an important function in the formation of personality, national character, ethnic community, people, nation. Increased attention from scientists to this topic is due to the need to solve problems associated with the growing systemic crisis in the socio-economic, political fields, as well as in the field of intercultural cooperation and dialogue.
