PATRIOTIC NARRATIVES OF MODERN ARMENIAN YOUTH IN THE CONTEXT OF THE COMPLICATED POLITICAL SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY

Abstract

In the context of the aggravation of the military conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and its international publicity, coupled with a wave of emigration from Russia, the questions of national identity and patriotic sentiments in Armenia are of particular interest. In this work, through narrative interviews with young people in Armenia, participant observation in Yerevan, and a series of questionnaires, I explore the narratives, that young Armenians use while talking about their country and how they feel about it amid a crisis.
