THE CORRUPTION PERCEPTION INDEX AS A MEANS OF INFLUENCE ON THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC SITUATION IN RUSSIA

Abstract

Civil society is an effective tool in the fight against corruption, but only if it is active. Civil society is considered to be all public institutions, organizations and institutions that are not part of the branch of government. In a democratic society, the state creates all conditions for the functioning of civil society. But, it is worth noting that in recent years due to the deterioration of the geopolitical situation, the level of corruption in Russia is greatly overstated by Western rating agencies. Since the corruption perception index is only a measure of how citizens perceive and assess the level of corruption in the country, that is, it is a subjective, not a real objective indicator.
