DISCUSSIONS ON THE INTERNET AS A NEW MECHANISM OF SOCIETY INTEGRATION

Abstract

The discussion is a fundamental mechanism of social integration, which not only unites the society but also provides decision making, development of key areas and tendencies of social development, as well as builds trust between its participants. The Information age has created a new discussion form - an Internet discussion. The discussion status also changed and a new subject - an Internet user - appeared. The Internet is becoming a new international discussion area, which certainly has segments with specifics of certain countries and cultures, but with soft borders and more universal communication norms. Internet discussions are becoming a new alternative mechanism of social integration.
