Abstract

Regional migration processes in the border areas of Russia, mainly from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are manifested in the differentiated characteristics and reasons for the arrival of migrants, their type of residence in their homeland, and nationality. The residence time of migrants in the regions is an indicator of the effectiveness of their adaptation and socialization in the host society. In the regions, the balance of intra-Russian, interregional and inter-country social mobility of the population in search of a better and more dignified life varies. The article presents a sociological analysis of various components of migration processes, indicating their focus and main trends. The conditions and factors of bureaucratization of migration flows that reproduce the conditions for corruption in this area are described. It is concluded that the regional features of migration processes are the result of a set of objective socio-economic conditions of the territories and current aspects of migration policy.
