Abstract

Each nationality has its own meaning in the modern world, the concepts of folk culture, peculiarities of life and history of the nation are important. The culture of the Altai Germans, their native language (Muttersprach), as well as household items (Huvekote, Zetbet, Sprukh) are unique in their own way, the color and uniqueness of this nation should not be lost or dissolve in assimilation with other peoples, the younger generation should always remember who they are actually. Folk traditions and customs represent a unique connection, a kind of «bridge of times» connecting the distant past with the present. In the German National and Kulundinsky districts of the Altai Territory, German traditions are honored and remembered to a greater extent, that is associated with the compact residence of Russian Germans.
