PRESERVATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE OBJECTS AS THE FACTOR OF A PERSON'S CULTURAL IDENTITY

Abstract
The article reveals the temporal-mnemonic aspect of the preservation of cultural heritage objects. The authors start from the position that not only people have memory, but also works of art. An assessment is given of the specifics of a person's communication with the greatest examples of art, which influences the formation of a person's cultural identity, becomes an organic part of her being. The conclusion is made about the importance of preserving the memory of the past for understanding the relationship between man and art, man and culture. The «agents» of memory are considered. They are not only museums, but also every individual who is responsible for preserving the integrity of the «memory chain».
