THE STATE AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF THE FUEL AND ENERGY COMPLEX OF THE REPUBLIC OF TYVA
УДК 332.1 (571.52): 339.9
Abstract
The article examines the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Tyva, assesses the state and development trends of the regional fuel and energy complex. There is a significant potential for its development by attracting investment in the developmat of large coal reserves, estimated at 11 billion tons. Also, the border status of the Republic of Tyva is a competitive advantage of the region for the transit of electricity to Mongolia and an important link in the project for the construction of the Euro-Asian energy bridge Russia-Mongolia-China.
The Republic of Tyva (Tuva) is remote, isolated from the main economic centers, relatively underdeveloped, subsidized, border subject of the Russian Federation (the presence of a border with Mongolia). Having enormous volumes of coal reserves suitable for smelting metals and generating electricity, Tuva is experiencing heat and energy shortages. The problems of shortage of thermal energy and unreliable supply of electricity to the entire region require the development of qualified feasibility studies and significant investments. When considering the problems of developing the fuel and energy base of the region, it is necessary to take into account the current situation in the territorial context and the conjuncture of the energy market of the adjacent territories.
