CONFLICT OF CULTURAL PARADIGMS IN THE DAY OF THE «OKAYANNIE DNI» BY I. A. BUNIN

Abstract

The article considers the lexical features of I. A. Bunin's «Okayannie dni» in the linguoculturological aspect. For the lexical structure of I. A. Bunin's diary of character, evaluation, emotion, expressiveness. The pragmatic filling with seed reflects the archetypal opposition «its own vs stranger». This archetype acts as the principle of forming the conceptual space of the analyzed text. Everything related to revolutionary transformations, Bunin refers to someone else's chronotope, which gives a negative assessment. His world is depicted in Bunin's diary as spiritual, bright, calm and orderly. Alien space is formed from the following thematic planes: revolutionary personalities, the structure of a new life, the reaction of culture to what is happening. Diary entries reflect ways of self-identification, self-understanding of personality. Bunin considers himself in the circle of writers of the previous era. The author of the diary positions himself as a person alien to revolutionary transformations, an intellectual, an adherent of tradition, old Russia, a connoisseur of beauty and a defender of culture. The vocabulary of the «Okayannie dni» by I. A. Bunin reflects the following semantic dominants: decay, decomposition, destruction, darkness, death, inhumanity, lies, jokes, stupidity.
