Abstract
The article considers the question of mastering the Russian language by foreign students as the meaning of Russian culture, since it is in the language that the worldview that is characteristic of the people is embodied. On the example of using expressive means of the Russian language (vocabulary, stable expressions, phraseological units), acting as a code of Russian culture, the process of mastering the mental attitudes of Russian culture by foreign students is shown.
