ECONOMIC PROVISION OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY: THEORY, METHODOLOGY & PRACTICE
Abstract
The article is relevant due to the current economic situation in the field of occupational health and safety in the Russian organizations. The negative trend of insufficient provision of occupational health and safety measures is omnipresent. It is fueled by the changes in the country economic development. Employers do not accept occupational health and safety costs as necessary and urgent. Opportunistic behavior in occupational health and safety also takes place. In this regard, the theoretical and methodological foundations of economic provision of occupational health and safety can somehow change this situation.Particularly, they can increase the employers’ economic interest in ensuring occupational health and safety measures, as well as help them start to invest in human resources. Thus, the article proposes a modern model of economic provision of occupational health and safety.
