The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the factors influencing the formation and development of innovation potential in Russian regions in the context of modern socio-economic challenges. The research is based on a systematic approach that allows taking into account the interrelationship of scientific, technical, industrial, technological, infrastructural and institutional factors that determine innovative development. Special attention is paid to identifying the regional characteristics of these factors and their direct impact on economic growth. The main object of the analysis is to identify key areas for improving innovation policy at the regional level, including mechanisms for commercializing scientific research and developing effective models of interaction between science and industry. The article also focuses on the importance of government support for innovative projects and the need to create a specialized infrastructure that promotes the development of startups and innovation clusters. The obtained research results allow us to formulate recommendations for increasing innovation activity in the regions, which is directly related to improving the economic stability and competitiveness of the country.
