THE ROLE OF PEDAGOGICAL TOLERANCE IN THE PROFESSIONAL CULTURE OF THE TEACHER

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of pedagogical tolerance mainly in the system of higher education, in the context of the general trends and features inherent in the development of the modern educational sphere as a whole. The indicated problem is studied, firstly, as a teacher's tolerant attitude towards students and other participants in the educational process, and, secondly, as the formation of the students' skills of tolerant thinking and behavior. The concept of pedagogical tolerance, according to the author, includes two fundamental aspects: social and psychological. Further, the content of the main components of pedagogical tolerance is analyzed: cognitive, perceptual-affective and behavioral. From the point of view of a humanistic approach, it is concluded that it is necessary to develop tolerance both as a moral quality of a teacher and as a characteristic of the moral status of society and the state.
