METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH TO ANALYZING INTERREGIONAL TRADE AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS: THE CASE OF THE ALTAI TERRITORY
УДК 332.1 (571.1/5)
Abstract
The article examines the methodology used to analyze the trade and economic relations between the Altai Territory and other regions of Russia. The methodology is characterized by several key features, including viewing the Altai Territory as both a supplier and consumer of goods, prioritizing the study of trade and economic relations with the regions of the Siberian Federal District, and conducting comparative analyses of interregional trade with other regions of Russia. The article also delves into the three main parameters of interregional trade: scale, nature, and significance, explaining each and how to operationalize them. However, the study has its limitations, such as the instability of trade and economic relations and limitations in the information base, such as incomplete statistical data and a limited range of observed products. The article suggests using different periods of analysis to account for differences in the methodology and the completeness of information. Overall, the article provides insight into the methodology used to analyze interregional trade and economic relations, including its limitations and potential solutions.
