Abstract

The paper analyses the development and regulatory framework of the intellectual property sector of the Russian Federation in current conditions. The legislative acts adopted over the last four years, which help to expand the areas of IP application in the enterprise, have been identified. The existing tax reliefs and allowances stimulating the involvement of intangible assets in the turnover have been systemised. Conclusions are drawn about the currently formed legal framework legalising parallel import, as well as about the list of goods (groups of goods) in respect of which the provisions of the RF Civil Code do not apply, provided that the said goods (groups of goods) are put into circulation outside the Russian Federation by right holders (patent holders), or with their consent.Among promising areas of business is the sphere of creative industries, i. e., creative income-generating activities.
