Abstract

The sanctions policy of Western countries has entailed significant economic restrictions in the development of domestic industrial enterprises. However, as happens in any crisis situation, the restrictions that arose became a powerful incentive for development and the search for new opportunities. Domestic enterprises were forced to look for alternative markets and suppliers, actively introduce innovations and modernize production. The departure of foreign manufacturers from the market has opened up the potential for increasing production volumes and sales of domestic products. The use of government support measures developed during the crisis period allowed enterprises to realize the emerging opportunities for further development.The article describes the experience of managing the closed joint-stock company «Rubtsovsky Spare Parts Plant». The company produces agricultural machinery and spare parts for it. Effective management of the company during the crisis period allowed not only to overcome the difficulties that arose, but also ensured the growth of the financial results of the enterprise. CJSC «Rubtsovsky Spare Parts Plant» is an example of the implementation of an effective import substitution program in the mechanical engineering industry. A powerful scientific, technical and production base, combined with competent management, made it possible, on the one hand, to minimize the enterprise's dependence on imports, and, on the other hand, to use the emerging opportunities to increase sales volumes on the domestic market.
