BANKRUPTCY AS A FACTOR OF THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF THE REGION JEL: L51, G 33

Abstract

One of the factors of the economic security of the region is the financial stability, solvency and profitability ofits economic agents — organizations and individual entrepreneurs, financial well-being, the standard of living andpurchasing power of citizens, the effective use of the resource potential of the region. The problem of ensuring theeconomic security of the state through the prism of improving the institution of bankruptcy is quite new and relevant.The article examines the problems of creditors when receiving funds in the event of bankruptcy of an organizationin the context of the economic security of the region (based on materials from the Siberian Federal District) at thepresent stage for 2002–2020. The author calculated the financial and other losses of creditors, substantiated thereasons for the low level of repayment of creditors “claims, and also proposed and substantiated a set of measuresaimed at strengthening the economic security of the region by means of measures aimed at reducing creditors’losses from liabilities that were not received as a result of the bankruptcy procedure and considered to be repaidon its basis.
