Abstract

In recent decades, the study of various problems within the framework of the sociology of medicine has increased, primarily due to the state's interest in improving the health of the population. The article deals with such an urgent problem as medical error, namely its ethical and cultural aspect. The question is raised about the existing and possible limits of the doctor's responsibility for the mistake made. It is argued that the attitude to medical error in society changed depending on the role of the doctor in the culture. The article proposes to shift the focus of attention from external factors to the internal ethical position of the doctor, the level of his medical culture, instilled in the walls of the university. The influence of teachers on the formation of medical ethics in the student environment and the attitude of patients to the violation of medical ethics by doctors is considered.
