DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES FOR THE LABOR MARKET IN A WEAKLY URBANIZED REGION
УДК 331.5.024.5
Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of the structure of Russian regions based on the calculation of the level of urbanization and integral indicator of the labor market. An extremely tense situation on local labor markets has developed in weakly urbanized regions. These tensions are characterized by high unemployment, a shortage of qualified personnel in certain industries and, as a result, an outflow of the population to more urbanized regions. The lack of jobs in rural settlements is often due not only to the lack of companies, but also to the inability of existing organizations to offer competitive salaries and working conditions comparable to urban areas. The priority development of rural settlements in the format of an agrocluster is proposed to overcome the challenges facing the labor market in regions with a low degree of urbanization. This approach will stimulate the development of the region's economy and the labor market.
