The journal focuses on the development of topical research on the problems of cultural and socio-cultural processes in the historical and genetic aspect. The publication will support interdisciplinary research at the intersection of different scientific specialties and branches of knowledge.

The experience of both individual researches and collective ones, reflecting the position of a particular scientific community, is important for the journal. In addition, authors can publish their work performed within the framework of grants and scientific assignments.
The journal gives priority to works done jointly by researchers from different countries and/or different regions of Russia.
Popularizing science and upholding the principles of scientific ethics are the key tasks of the journal.
Authors can offer the journal their creative ideas for its successful development and improvement - such suggestions will be necessarily taken into account in the activity of the journal. Authors can also take the initiative to prepare and publish thematic issues of the journal on a particular issue or covering the specifics of research conducted in a particular institution of higher education or scientific organization.
Any interested reader of the journal may apply to the editorial board with a proposal to start a discussion in the pages of the journal on a particular problem touched upon in a particular publication or several published works in the journal at once. In addition, any reader may propose for discussion or publication an open review or review of the material published in this journal.
The Editorial Board guarantees objectivity in reviewing manuscripts of articles, will work with each author to improve the material, and may give recommendations for increasing its heuristic significance.
