ARRANGEMENT OF DRUG ADDICTS’ REHABILITATION AND RESOCIALIZATION IN THE CONTEXT OF ENSURING DRUG-SAFETY OF THE CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY: DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN EXPERIENCE

Abstract
The article considers the issue of understanding the value of rehabilitation of drug addicts for modern society in the context of domestic and foreign experience. The article is based on the results of examining the domestic system of rehabilitation of drug addicts as well as authentic materials and research papers of foreign analysts devoted to disclosing the contents of the main programs and methods of rehabilitation and social reintegration of drug addicts in some Western countries. These methods are tested both in laboratory conditions and in practice and are actively used by specialists in our country and abroad. The authors of the article draw attention to the fact that many social reintegration methods can and should be embedded into the process of drug addiction treatment at an early stage, as well as to the necessity to take into account the most critical needs of each patient while providing additional support to them regarding housing, employment and education in order to improve the effectiveness of treatment. The importance of finding ways and methods of improving motivation to timely entering treatment not only for persons already suffering from drug addiction, but also for those ones who feel their initial symptoms is demonstrated in the article. The article may be of interest to specialists working in the system of rehabilitation and social reintegration of persons using narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for non-medical purposes.
