XXI INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM “INTEGRATION OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND ETHNOGRAPHICAL RESEARCH” 6-8 OCTOBER, 2015 BARNAUL
Abstract
The article highlights the results of the XXI International Scientific Symposium “Integration of Archeological and Ethnographic Research” devoted to the 200th anniversary of the birth of A.F. Middendorf and the 130th anniversary of the birth of S.I. Rudenko. The emphasis is made on the reports on historiography, theory, source and methods of ethno-archaeological scientific direction to study materials available on Kulai historical and cultural community, as well as reports on the practical achievements in the field of integration of Archaeology, Ethnography, and other arts and sciences. The symposium, held in Barnaul on the basis of Altai State University, demonstrated a certain level of development of ethnoarchaeological field, systematically promoted cooperation in this and other fields of knowledge. The discussions oulined the ways to promote scientific activity and marked current plans for the workshops. Forum participants had the opportunity to visit Anokhin National Museum of the Altai Republic in Gorno-Altaisk.
