Abstract

Currently, a large lithic collection from the Rubtsovskoye settlement is stored in the Regional Museum of Rubtsovsk. The main part of the exhibits come from the collections on the destroyed part of the settlement, which taken by one of the authors of the article from 2002 to 2012. This material significantly supplements the previously published artifacts. It has 719 pieces: 23 primary cleavage products, 436 items of the tool kit, and the rest is production debris. In the article we present and analyze tools on flakes. Consideration is given to some aspects related to understanding the entire collection, a distinctive feature of which is a large number of combined tools. Most likely, this was due to a shortage of raw materials. Scrapers of complex shapes with cutting and “piercing” edges, cutters on the fragments of chopping tools give a special flavor to the tool kit from the site. The collection contains items characteristic of the Neolithic cultures of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, and also the items having analogies in the Baikal region, in the Lower and Middle Angara. The collections of the Museum of Local Lore in Rubtsovsk expand the existing ideas about the composition of the stone industry of the site and, above all, about the tool kit.
