Abstract

The results of the Sayano-Altai archaeological expedition of the State Historical Museum and the State Academy of the History of Material Culture, obtained in Altai in 1935 and 1937, have not been fully put into scientific circulation, although they have been repeatedly used in many scientific works. This voluminous material comes from excavation on the sites in the construction zone of the Chuysky tract and is important for studying the historical past of the region. Some of the objects investigated under the supervision of S.V. Kiselev and L.A. Evtyukhova, refer to the Turkic time. The finds are stored in the State Historical Museum (Moscow), some are located in the main exhibition. A complete picture of the composition of the collection is provided by the existing inventory of finds, which has become the source for writing this article. In this case, the main attention is paid only to individual complexes which are demonstrated as examples. The study of the entire collection must be continued, taking into account archival information and published works.
