All ms submitted for publication undergo blind peer review by experts to ensure a high scientific standard is maintained.
- The Editor-in-Chief first evaluates all manuscripts. Those rejected at this stage are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, have poor grammar or language, or are outside the aims and scope of the journal. Those that meet the minimum criteria are passed on to at least two experts for review. Information about the ms receipt and its further editorial status will be delivered to the author email.
- Ms containing previously fully published material and / or ms that do not meet the approved formal requirements are not allowed for publication. Partial use of published information and data is accompanied by appropriate references and citations.
- After ms evaluation, the editor-in-chief sends it to two or three independent reviewers. Referees are matched to the paper according to their expertise and receive a review template (see the approved "Review Template"). The reviewer must draw an objective and rational conclusion without critical judgments about the author (s). Referees are not expected to correct or copyedit manuscripts. Language correction is not part of the peer review process.

- Manuscripts rejected by the reviewers are not accepted for resubmission and the editorial board does not archive them.
- In controversial situations (in case of negative and positive reviews), the editor-in-chief sends the ms or its revised version to the third review and takes the final decision with essential author notification.
- Reviews are kept in the editorial office for at least 5 years and can be sent to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation on its request.
